In this documentary series from National Geographic, Katie Couric travels the country to speak with people bearing witness to the most complicated and consequential questions today in American culture. Join us on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month beginning in June, when we will watch an episode and discuss the topic within.

June 5 “Re-Righting History” – the highly controversial battle over removing confederate monuments

June 19 “The Muslim Next Door” – what it’s like to be a Muslim in America today

July 3rd “Your Brain on Tech” – how technology is affecting our lives and our brains

July 17 “The Revolt” – why we still haven’t achieved gender equality

August 7 “The Age of Outrage” – political correctness, on college campuses and in small towns

August 21 “White Anxiety” – the real roots of anger and frustration among America’s white working class.

All classes stand alone and run from 7:00-8:30 p.m. We will be meeting in the Olympia Brown room. Come to the topics of interest!
