Sarah Kappes, Oboe, Guest Musician

“Curiosity leaves us hanging – in wonder or on the edge of a cliff or both… In relationships with children, spouses and friends, our curiosity about their interior lives, about their feelings, passions, thought processes can lead to some pretty messy places… Even our curiosity about our own minds can lead us to places we never imagined, and some of those places are puzzling, frightening and amazing all at once. I remember my father once saying that he didn’t like to recall his dreams because they just upset him. I’ve felt that way sometimes too…”

Note: We will also recognize Mother’s Day during the service.
