UU Animal Chaplain Elizabeth DeCoux will conduct a Blessing of the Animals outside the church building at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3. Please bring your dogs, cats, gerbils, and other animals to be blessed. For safety, please have dogs on leash and other animals properly restrained. Hope to see you on October 3 for this joyful occasion!
Pictures for Animal Memorial
This service will be different from previous blessings, because the memorial for departed animals will be a more significant part of the service.
Everyone who has lost an animal is invited to email a photo of the animal to worship@bbuuc.org. That will enable us to project the animal’s photo and name on the screen during the memorial segment of the service. Please send a picture, along with the animal’s name, in the email to worship@bbuuc.org. Please make the subject line of the email “Animal Memorial.” You are welcome to send pictures of as many animals as you’d like. You are also welcome to bring ashes or a toy or memento to the ceremony; they will be placed on a table at the front.
