The Hero’s Journey

Rev. Amy Moses-Lagos, BBUUC Minister, presents
“The Hero’s Journey”
With Alyssa Halliday as Worship Associate

The Hero’s Journey is a formula that can be seen in countless books, films and TV shows, including the contemporary TV shows “The Queen’s Gambit” and “Bridgerton.” In the Hero’s Journey. the hero leaves home, encounters a challenge, solves the challenge, and returns home transformed. This service explores how we can all go on the Hero’s Journey when we have the courage to choose vulnerability in a difficult situation.

BBUUC WILL HAVE OUR ZOOM FELLOWSHIP HOUR TODAY AT 3:OO P.M. INSTEAD OF 11:30 A.M. SO THAT THE CONGREGATION OF FREE CHURCH UNITARIAN OF BLAINE, WA CAN JOIN US.

We are conducting the second part of our “worship service exchange” with FCU on March 14th, with the Blaine congregation viewing our worship service, then joining us for our Fellowship Hour on Zoom for discussion and conversation. We will move our time up to 3:00 p.m. EST to accommodate the time difference and give them time to view the service before we meet.

During this time of social distancing, when in-person worship has been suspended, BBUUC will continue our weekly worship in video format that you can find on YouTube each Sunday morning at the “BBUUC Video” channel. Simply subscribe to the channel on YouTube, and watch our weekly worship services, modified for video viewing until we can resume gathering together for worship in our church sanctuary. The worship videos will remain on the site for viewing at your convenience. New services are posted at 6 A.M. on Sunday mornings.

We invite you to submit your Joys and Concerns via email to office@bbuuc.org by Tuesday at noon of each week for inclusion in the upcoming Sunday’s worship service. Please note “J&C” in the subject line. For your privacy, we will share our Joys and Concerns using first names and last initials only.
