Upcoming Events:

  • February 9th– 8 am -1pm Church Clean-up Day (RE needs help staining the playset)
  • February 15th7-9 Drumming Circle
  • February 17th– food drive Ends
  • February 23rd– Whole Church Service Project- 9am-1pm- Take food donations to OP Clothes Closet, have a tour, volunteer for an hour, then head to Tillie Fowler Park for a BYOL (lunch), playground and hiking time
  • February 24th – Children’s Chapel

This is a story from one of the sources for Unitarian Universalism.  It comes from the Bible, a book of writings by people who were inspired by the Mystery to describe their ideas about where people came from and why they are here and how to lead a good life.

  • I wonder if there is any part of the story that we can leave out and still have story?

Spirit Explorers (1st– 2nd) Seed in the Ground

In this story we follow the life cycle of a plant we explore our 4th Principle: To grow by exploring what is true and right in life.

Spirit Seekers: (3rd -5th Grades) Intro to Universalist History: love and justice

Facilitator: Chris Jarman

The goal of this session is to learn about the history of Universalists and what we learned and carry forward from our Universalist super-hero ancestors.

URUU WEEKLY CHALLENGE: 

  1. Tell your family about some of the super-powers of our Universalist ancestors.
  2. Share with them one of your favorite people or events from Universalist history and why.
  3. Teach your family the UU chalice handshake!
  4. The 7 Principles “promise keeper” challenge will stand all year long.
