The “Contract for the Deck” has been signed!

Once the city has issued a Permit, the purchase of building materials will begin. Caution in the back of the Church is strongly suggested once construction starts. It is our hope that by Christmas, the Deck will be finished. We are planning to have a Grand Opening of the Deck at Christmas.

The Board approved setting up a “Donor Restricted Fund” that will be applied to the Deck costs proper and any difference will be paid from our Congregational Growth and Development Reserve. As part of our vision plan, possible investment might be necessary for deck enhancements such as staining and sealing, landscaping the adjacent area, possible drainage improvements, trash can enclosure, lighting, tables, chairs and/or other seating, related Grounds Crew projects, and possibly a storage shed. There may be matching or cost share funds available from a donor for approved vision proposals. Cindi Jorgensen and Don DeStephano, with Board approvals, will guide the vision processes moving forward.
