Water Sharing Ceremony: The Water Falls, The Water Calls

September 11, 2016:Water Sharing Ceremony

As is traditional in many UU churches across the country, BBUUC will hold our annual water sharing service (sometimes called “Water Communion”) on Sunday, September 11.

All are invited to bring a small container of water from (or representing) your travels, special places, moments or events from the summer or the year, and place the waters into the communal bowl, sharing brief words about its significance. The rejoining of many waters symbolizes the rejoining of the congregation after summer.

During the service, a special acknowledgment will be made in respect to the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

In addition, an expanded hospitality will be offered during fellowship after the service.
