In their sermon ‘The Holy Work of Independence’ Rev. Justin Almeida will explore the intersection of our national holiday of 4th of July with our Unitarian Universalist mission of being a people with minds that think, hearts that love, and hands that are ready to serve.
About our Speaker:
The Rev. Justin Almeida is a Unitarian Universalist community minister in Seattle, WA who serves as a hospital chaplain specializing in palliative care and hospice. They are affiliated with University Unitarian Church which is a spiritual home for their family which includes their mother Judith, partner Heather, and child Tobias. When not providing spiritual care at the Veterans Administration or Harborview Medical Center, you can find Justin enjoying the arts of fermentation, coffee roasting, and taking long walks while listening to podcasts.
During this time of social distancing, when in-person worship has been suspended, BBUUC will continue our weekly worship in video format that you can find on YouTube each Sunday morning at the “BBUUC Video” channel. Simply subscribe to the channel on YouTube, and watch our weekly worship services, modified for video viewing until we can resume gathering together for worship in our church sanctuary. The worship videos will remain on the site for viewing at your convenience. New services are posted at 6 A.M. on Sunday mornings.
