About our Service:
What are we about, and where would we like to go? Molly posed the question this way at a recent listening circle that began as part of a vision-building process: You’re at a party, you tell someone where you go to church, and they respond, “Oh – the church that ______.” What fills in the blank for us? Looking to our home-grown tradition, BBUU Society was founded to have as much emphasis on children as adults. Looking to the future, what could be a better guide than our children’s flourishing? And some fun for the adults in the getting there, perhaps?
About our Speaker:
Since joining BBUUC in 1997, Dr. Mark Yount has given over 100 sermons, chaired committees, served on the Board, and served as Youth Adviser. Mark taught philosophy at Trinity College (Hartford), St. Joseph’s (Philadelphia), and Jacksonville University. He has degrees in Philosophy from William and Mary (BA), Villanova (MA), and the University of Colorado at Boulder (Ph.D.).
Mark works with Mental Health America of NE FL, helping homeless/at-risk people apply for disability benefits.
