Service of Remembrance

Manny Andrade and Alyssa Halliday, Worship Leaders

Gary Smart, Pianist

Timothy Edwards, Violin, Guest Musician

This is the time of year when shared themes of honoring the dead, ancestors, and a “thinning veil” between the living and the spirit world are connected, though they originated independently from different cultures and histories. All Souls’ Day, la Día de los Muertos, and Samhain are all celebrated in late October to early November. On Sunday, November first, BBUUC will gather for a Service of Remembrance, celebrating our ancestors and making space for the experiences of remembrance, grief, loss, and love that endures beyond death. We will be building an altar of remembrance for our loved ones who have died, and you are invited to bring a photo or small memento to contribute to our altar.
