“Ordinary Moments of Joy”

With Caitlin Regan as Worship Associate

Sydney Crisp, Accompanist and Special Music

David Dean, Soloist

Brené Brown writes: “Joy is not a constant. It comes to us in moments—often ordinary moments. I believe a joyful life is made up of joyful moments gracefully strung together by trust, gratitude, inspiration, and faith.” What do ordinary moments of joy look like? How do we make sense of them? Is there value in cultivating joy? Why or why not? This sermon will explore these questions and more.

About our musician, Sydney Crisp:

Sydney Crisp is a third-generation Unitarian Universalist, and has been attending BBUUC for seventeen years. While she has been an accompanist at BBUUC for six years, she has been playing the piano for fourteen years. During the 2020 quarantine, she also learned to play the Irish whistle, the ocarina, and the lyre harp.
