However diverse our UU beliefs, they are born in us from curiosity. Our explorations grow from seeking into finding not by being fixed as “truths,’ but when they carry us toward wholeness and feeling more alive. Let me take Friedrich Nietzche’s playful style for my outline: 1) Why I Had it Right All Along. 2) What Went Wrong, and Why I Can Still Make it Right. 3) How I’m Finding My Spirit Full. This is my path, but I’ll share it in a way that invites you to your own.

About Our Speaker

Since joining BBUUC in 1997, Dr. Mark Yount has given over 125 sermons, chaired several committees, served on Leadership Development, on the Board as Trustee and Vice President, and as Youth Advisor for most of his time here (one of his great passions). Mark has a Ph.D. in Philosophy and taught college philosophy courses full-time for 12 years, before a second career in addiction treatment administration and helping homeless/at-risk people apply for disability benefits. He is now retired and writing a book entitled Wisdom on the Way: Seeing Ourselves Whole through the Worldview Wars.

About Our Guest Musician

Bill Caine is originally from the Philadelphia area, where he studied at Temple University. He was fortunate to study under Alan Able of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Bill has performed with many Symphony Orchestras in the Philadelphia/New York/Baltimore area as well as with TBA Big Band, the Straight-Ahead Big Band, Doc Severinsen, Ray Charles, Roger Daltry, Amy Lee, Evanescence, Luciano Pavarotti, and many others. He has played for BBUUC several times as a Swing and a Miss member, and this Sunday we will hear his solo vibraphone.
