Dr. Mahmoodi will share her journey as an allopathic Medicine Physician to Holistic Medicine; introduce Holistic Medicine which looks at the underlying causes of disease while focusing on the whole person – a systematic clinical approach that can reverse the epidemic of chronic disease.
About our Speaker:
Dr. Mahmoodi completed her medical education from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1994. She is Board certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. Dr Mahmoodi served as a naval officer for 11 years as both a Flight Surgeon and a Family Physician. For the past eleven years, she has been working as clinical faculty at the St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Jacksonville, and has introduced clinical nutrition and integrative medicine into the residency curriculum. She is also clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Family Medicine at NOVA Southwestern University and at The Florida State University College of Medicine.
