About Our Speaker:
Mandy Goheen is a mother, minister, and writer who lives in Montgomery, Alabama. She is not yet a “Reverend,” but will soon be with her ordination scheduled for May. Mandy is the Director of Prison Ministry for the Church of the Larger Fellowship. She has worked at the Church of the Larger Fellowship’s Worthy Now Prison Ministry for the past four years. She is also a 2017 graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry, an American Unitarian Universalist and multireligious seminary affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley.
Cellist Linda Minke hails from Rochester, Michigan. Before her move to Jacksonville in 1993, Linda was assistant principal cello with Memphis Symphony, created a Suzuki cello program there at Rhodes College, and performed with the Rhodes Piano Trio. Linda enjoys teaching, currently at the School of the Arts at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra and in her home studio in Neptune Beach. In 2004 Ms. Minke joined the faculty at The Walker Family Band Fiddle Camp in Blowing Rock, NC, adding fiddle to her skill set, and continues to grow as a non-classical performer. She’s been studying and playing Celtic Harp since September 2017. She facilitates Florida Fiddle Fest every February at St Paul’s By the Sea in Jacksonville Beach and performs with The Peninsula Music Festival in Door County, Wisconsin every August.
