If the 10 commandments aren’t a passionate guide for our lives and those of other faiths seem obscure or less applicable, what source might suggest a contemporary and rigorous basis for personal decision-making?

Dr. Susan Scholl:

Sharon Scholl (PhD Florida State U.) is professor emerita from Jacksonville University where she taught the western humanities and non-western studies (Africa, Japan, etc.).   A musician/composer, she serves as choral director for UUCJ in Arlington and maintains a website that provides free choral music to needy choirs.  An active poet, her chapbook, Summer’s Child, is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press.
