30 Days Of Love Worship Service:
Side with Love Sunday
With an introduction by Rev. Amy Moses-Lagos, BBUUC Minister
What if to “side with love” meant making bold, faith-full choices? What if it were even a little bit scary? This worship service brings together worship leaders and musicians from across the country to offer hopeful, moving, challenging reminders about what we, as Unitarian Universalists, are called to do, and BE, in the world.
About this special service:
This service is coordinated by Rev. Erika Hewitt, UUA Minister of Worship Arts, who carefully recruited a range of UU religious professionals and lay leaders to bring this service to full expression. All of worship participants speak from their lived experience, which is grounded in at least one marginalized identity: Dr. Takiyah Nur Amin, Laura Conkle, Rev. Michael Crumpler, Julica Hermann de la Fuente, Dr. Tuli Patel, and Everette Thompson. Music will be provided by Pastor David B. Smith of All Souls UU Church in Tulsa, OK and by the choir of First Unitarian Society of Brooklyn, NY under the direction of Adam Podd.
