BOO! OCTOBER IS SOCKTOBER!
In this special year of Covid-19 we are RE-visioning some of our favorite FALL Activities, Socktober and Trunk or Treat! Special Contests and Events are planned throughout the month. It’s time to get silly and have some creative FUN while doing Good Deeds for those in Need.
Socktober is a National Campaign to donate new socks for all shapes and sizes. Socks collected by BBUUC will be delivered to The Sulzbacher Center. Our Goal is 600 pairs! For ease of shopping we will provide Amazon links and a mailing address in the first of October.

Sock Decorating Contest
Oct 1st – 9th (7pm cut off)

Let your imaginations loose, how crazy, spooky, or silly can you make your socks? Take a picture while modeling them for us and post to the BBUUC Community Facebook Page. Vote for your favorites by clicking the “Like” button. Prizes will be awarded for Best Overall, Cutest, Funniest, and Scariest!
Pet/Stuffie Costume Contest
Oct 10th – 16th (7pm cut off)

Grab the Family Pet or your favorite Stuffed Animal and have them participate in their very own Costume Contest. Take pictures of your furry and stuffed friends and post to the BBUUC Community Facebook Page. Vote for your favorites by clicking the “Like” button. Prizes will be awarded for Best Owner/Pet or Stuffie Couple Costume, Best Overall, Cutest, DIY-iest, Funniest, and Scariest!
Door Decorating Contest
Oct 17th – 23rd (7pm cut off)

Decorate any DOOR inside or outside of your home with a Halloween theme, bonus points if your work socks into your decorations! Please no porches or yards, as not everyone has those. Take pictures of your DOOR post to the BBUUC Community Facebook Page. This contest will be judged by the Youth in Beacon. Prizes will be awarded for Best Overall, Cutest, DIY-iest, Funniest, Most Creative, and Scariest!
Costume Contest
Oct 24th – 31st (7pm cut off)

How creative can you get? Dress up in your Costumes and share pictures or videos with us on the BBUUC Community Facebook Page. Bonus points if you can creatively work socks into your costume! Prizes will be awarded for Best Duo Costumes, Best Family Costumes, Best Overall, Cutest, DIY-iest, Funniest, and Scariest.
Social Distanced Drive-Thru Halloween and SOCK DROPOFF
Oct 31st (3pm-5pm)
On the afternoon of Halloween our church parking lot will have 3 drive thru stations.
Station One–Drop off your Sock Donations
Station Two—Pick up a Halloween Treat and a RE Activity Bag
Station Three– Photo Booth for taking pictures in your costumes. We ask that you respect Social Distancing protocols and remain in cars if there is a wait.
