May 5: Reverend Bill Ringgold will present: Paul’s Weird Theology : Blame it on Philip II

350 years before Christ, an earthshaking change in military hardware set the stage for major parts of Christian belief. As a result, the world, and the development of western culture, were fundamentally changed. While there is no ideological or theological causality leading from this weapon to Paul’s Christology, had it not been developed, the churches we know today would likely be very different.

About Our Speaker:Dr. Bill Ringgold is a native Floridian, and is a graduate of Lynchburg College in Virginia. He then earned both a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry in Practical Theology from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis.  His doctoral program was in Third World Development and Human Rights. Bill is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He served as a pastor for 21 years, then spent the next 11 years fundraising for international hunger and development causes.  He has travelled to India, Mexico, Haiti, Cuba, Pakistan and Bangladesh for study and as part of his work.  Bill keeps himself entertained in retirement doing historical research and writing on the development of the Christian bible.  Bill and Sue have four grown children and
