Last note from this Prez!

Wow.  Just like that and it is over. Two years in the blink of an eye.

For now,  the focus is on what is coming up for the new Board.  Several projects are in the works that will carry over, The Outside Task Force is meeting to move forward on plans for a deck. The Vision Grant process is being devised so members with great ideas and a bit of enthusiasm and drive can initiate and fulfill improvements to our programs and members’ needs.

The  term of this new Board will be taking us through a tumultuous midterm season in our country.  More and more, we need to rely on each other for support and comfort in conditions where the world around us is in conflict with UU values and principles.  They will need your support so they can support the programs and projects that you, as members, dream of to carry us into the future.  Besides the fun stuff, there are always challenging issues like insurance, housekeeping, payroll, repairs, responsibility regarding social issues, bugs, tree limbs, spats, safety, and accessibility that require a lot more attention than I thought of before I served.  Thank the Universe for all the camaraderie with the leadership that worked together to accomplish all our tasks!

Being on the Board is pretty intense, in truth.  At BBUUC, we all know each other.  Our actions affect about 150 people with whom we have relationships, and for whom we have great affection. I wish the new Board great luck.  BBUUC is in great hands.
