About our Speaker:

Ev Corum is the Director of Communication, Humanities, Philosophy, Religion, and World Languages Programs at American Public University System, an accredited, online university. In addition to academic administrative and leadership skills, he has created international connectivity programs and original interactive television (ITV) classes. He created international programs with folk musicians in Tallinn, Estonia, and language students in Lille and Lyons, France and has directed several theatrical productions. He is an expert in curriculum development, producing teacher support materials, and online interactive student activities for students at all levels. He was awarded a Distance Education Certification from the University of Wisconsin (2001). He taught at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and was the Director of Distance Education at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Before his appointment as an APUS program director, he was the Director of Academic Affairs at the University of Phoenix – Maryland Campuses, and has taught for University of Maryland University College. He was recognized in Who’s Who in American Teachers in 1996 and 2000. He has several publications, presentations and grants to his credit. He earned his PhD in Theatre and Media Arts from the University of Kansas in 1990. His dissertation was entitled Tantalizing Ambiguity: The Cinema of Peter Weir. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and reading. He and his lovely wife Michelle joined BBUUC in October 2015. They have two grown sons, Spencer and Brady.
