ICARE to City Hall: Jacksonville Needs Affordable Housing!

Monday, July 20, 2026
9:00 am - 10:00 am
Jacksonville needs affordable housing, and on Monday, July 20, we need to show our elected leaders that our community is paying attention.
Our presence matters at this meeting. We have been meeting with the Mayor and City Council members, pressing them to act on Jacksonville’s housing crisis. When we show up, we remind them that people of faith and conscience are watching closely and expecting action. When we don’t, it’s easy for them to assume no one is paying attention.

We will be wearing yellow to honor families and neighbors who do not have a home. Since there is no public comment at the meeting, we are also reaching out to the media and will make our voices heard in other ways. Together, we will continue lifting up the urgent need for affordable housing in Jacksonville.

Join us as we bring our power into the halls of City Hall. Please invite your members and share this flyer with your congregation. Remember to wear yellow!
