From our Social Action Chair, Claudia Marshall, “we as a congregation need to have a conversation this year about voter suppression. [We can begin this discussion] by reading Stacey Abram’s book Our Time is Now. The book is only 10 chapters and I think we as a congregation can glean a lot and understand why this is such a violation to our 5th principle. [We will follow-up with a Movie night to] watch Stacey’s movie All In: The Fight For Democracy.
Our season for political involvement is not over. It is a charge to keep our hand to the plow and support Democracy.”
