Introduction to Rev. Katy Korb
A Unitarian Universalist Minister, The Rev. Kathleen Damewood Korb was born and reared in St. Petersburg, leaving after her graduation from Stetson University where she majored in English and minored in Mathematics and Education. While living in Sharon, MA, with her family of three children she attended Harvard Divinity School and graduated and was ordained in 1979. Her first settled ministry was in New London, CT, and after a short interim in Farmington Hills, MI, she served for fifteen years as the minister of Community Church in New Orleans. In 2001, Rev. Korb was called to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Naples, FL, and she returned to St. Petersburg in 2012 to begin a new developmental ministry at the UU church there. She retired in June of 2014, but still enjoys visiting various UU pulpits throughout the area.
