Yet, if we are to love the hell out of this world, as our Universalist theology calls us to do, what do we do when we are wretched to one another?

About Our Guest Speaker:

Rev. Emilie Boggis is one of our two called ministers at Beacon UU Congregation in Summit (NJ). She began her role with the congregation in September 2005 as Assistant Minister. In 2014, Rev. Boggis began taking on more of the ministerial aspects of congregational life, including membership, adult spiritual development and faith formation, and pastoral care. Emilie is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister. She graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School (a UU seminary in Chicago) in June 2005. She previously worked as a Americorps*VISTA volunteer at Habitat for Humanity.

Special Music by BBUUC Member Caitlin Regan

Caitlin has loved to sing all her life. In college, she regularly performed the National Anthem for the Hudson Valley Renegades, the Single-A baseball team for the Tampa Bay Rays, later became the lead singer for her church’s worship band, and has been a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus since 2012. Her favorite audience, however, is her two young daughters, who love to hear “If,” by Bread, and Elvis Presley’s “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” before bed each night.
