Letter from DLRE Jenn Jones

Hi everyone,

My name is Jenn Jones (she/they), and I am excited about becoming your new Director of Lifespan Religious Education and getting to know everyone. As the DRLE I am committed to helping those seeking spiritual growth, a transforming faith, and vital communities of justice and love at any age in Unitarian Universalism. I hold an open door policy and if you have any ideas or concerns, please let me know. I will be happy to listen.

Before joining the BBUUC I worked with numerous youth organizations as a Teacher Board Member, Committee Chair, and Co-founder of a food pantry.  I’m a homeschool Mom and have three wonderful children Sean, Colin, and John Hunter.  In my free time, I serve as a Board member and a teacher for a nonprofit, in Jacksonville. My passions are children’s education and advocacy work on behalf of low-income, racially diverse children, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Both my partner and I are military Veterans. I served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged and Aaron retired from Naval Station Mayport as a Senior Chief.  We are so happy to meet you!  I am eager to grow and learn together with all of you!

Thanks,

Jenn Jones
