“Faith Submerged”

“Faith Submerged” will explore the pattern of communities of faith to submerge and erase the visibility and contributions of LGBTQ people. This disenfranchisement historically and in the present is not limited to a few movements. We will explore the importance and value of Queer Affirming Spirituality’s in line with the UU Principles.

About our Speaker:

Manny Andrade is a life-professed Franciscan brother. He received Deaconal Orders in 2000 and was ordained a priest in 2003 in the progressive, independent, American Catholic Church.  Manny is a social worker serving communities living with HIV since 1989. He married Rusty Turner in 2016. Manny and Rusty found their spiritual home at BBUUC, 7 years ago.

During this time of social distancing, when in-person worship has been suspended, BBUUC will continue our weekly worship in video format that you can find on YouTube each Sunday morning at the “BBUUC Video” channel. Simply subscribe to the channel on YouTube, and watch our weekly worship services, modified for video viewing until we can resume gathering together for worship in our church sanctuary. The worship videos will remain on the site for viewing at your convenience. New services are posted at 6 A.M. on Sunday mornings.
