Jennifer Bacmeister will lead our service with a message by our guest minister Rev. Joanna Lubkin entitled “Prayer for Atheists”
There’s some sort of joke out there that instead of beginning our prayers with, “Dear God,” Unitarian Universalists begin their prayers, “To Whom It May Concern.” Together, we’ll explore the potential for prayer in our lives, and we may even explore the G-word. (God.)
About Our Guest Speaker: Rev. Joanna Lubkin is deeply connected to a number of Unitarian Universalist communities in the Boston area: she serves as the half-time minister at All Souls Church in Braintree, helps out in the office at First Church in Jamaica Plain, and is the Worship Arts Lead at The Sanctuary Boston. She’s a member and an Affiliated Community Minister at Arlington Street Church in Boston.
During this time of social distancing, when in-person worship has been suspended, BBUUC will continue our weekly worship in video format that you can find on YouTube each Sunday morning at the “BBUUC Video” channel. Simply subscribe to the channel on YouTube, and watch our weekly worship services, modified for video viewing until we can resume gathering together for worship in our church sanctuary. The worship videos will remain on the site for viewing at your convenience. New services are posted at 6am on Sunday mornings.
We invite you to submit your Joys and Concerns via email to office@bbuuc.org by Tuesday at noon of each week for inclusion in the upcoming Sunday’s worship service. Please note “J&C” in the subject line. For your privacy, we will share our Joys and Concerns using first names and last initials only.
